Pressured by her devoutly religious family, a young gay woman struggles between being true to herself and maintaining her relationship with God, ultimately searching for a way to have both.

After the tragic death of their mother Jo and Billy are sent to live with their extremely religious Aunt and Uncle. As Jo becomes an adult she realizes that the feelings she has for other woman conflict with the morals with which she was raised. This conflict instigates an internal religious struggle plagued by nightmares and doubt which threatens the loving relationship between Jo and her girlfriend Indy. By looking within, Indy encourages Jo to challenge the judgments of her family and the teachings that once comforted her. Will Jo be able to find the strength in herself to make a place for both God and Indy in her life?

The Film's Mission:
Most 'gay' films portray God as the enemy. Our mission with both the short film (current project) and feature length film (future project) is to show gay people that they can be true to themselves and have a relationship with God. The feature goes into a deeper exploration of this concept, but the short gives a taste of both the struggle and the realization of how this is possible.
