Cocoon Crash writer, Kathleen Latlip, moved out to Los Angeles in 1999 where she began working in Post Production. She currently works as a feature film Assistant Editor. Credits include North Country, ATL, Beerfest, The Great Raid and Redline. She has also produced a short film and just recently began producing an independent children's show for the children of gay parents.

Growing up, Kathleen always knew she would minister to people in some way. Having grown up Southern Baptist, she found herself standing up at every revival and claiming that she would 'use her life for God'. Imagine her surprise when she went away to a Baptist College and found herself falling in love with another girl. This was NOT the plan she had in mind.

Kathleen continued to struggle with being gay for many years. Constantly told that she couldn't be a Christian and be gay, she tried to push away her feelings for other women. No matter how much she prayed, she found herself unable to put aside these feelings. Finally, Kathleen found herself in love with her current girlfriend of 8 years, who couldn't be persuaded that their relationship was wrong. Kathleen finally had to accept who she was and accept the fact that God loved her, just as she was and is.

The song currently featured on the Cocoon Crash website is "If You Could See," which was written by Sarah Bettens for the film.
